There’s Only One Way to Have Eternal Life

“Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved” – Acts 4:12

Everlasting Life All Roads Dont Lead to Heaven

The only authoritative source of genuine spiritual truth in this world is God’s Word the Bible (as preserved for English speaking people in the KJV) – “the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” God reveals in His Word that “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). Each of us will stand before God one day to be judged, and none of us qualify on our own merits to receive eternal life. To do so, the Lord Jesus Christ said in John 3:1-16 that we must be “born again” – which means to be made a new creature here and now by the power of the Holy Spirit working in us. To be truly born again, and to thereby receive a new nature in this life and eternal life in the next, here is 

what you must understand:

 

Our sin and rebellion against God’s commands separates us from God, and condemns us to death and eternal punishment.

“…there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” – Ecclesiastes 7:20

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God…” – Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death… ” – Romans 6:23

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers…Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. ” – 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

“But the…unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,…and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. ” – Revelation 21:8

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels…And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” – Matthew 25:41-46

 

You can’t earn or attain everlasting life through religious ritual or by being a “good person.”

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” – Matthew 7:22-23

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us” – Titus 3:5
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law…for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” – Galatians 2:16

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast” – Ephesians 2:8-9

NOTE: No religious ritual (such as baptism, church sacraments, etc.) and no amount of good works that you can do will ever take away your sin.  Good works can never pay the required penalty for sin, which is death.

 

The Lord Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, willingly suffered, bled and died on a Roman cross to pay our death penalty, to redeem us from our sin and offer us eternal life.

“…while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” – Romans 5:8

“And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all” – Isaiah 53:6

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

 

After three days Jesus was bodily resurrected from the grave to prove He was the Christ and that His words were true.

“This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.” – Acts 2:32

“…whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.” – Acts 17:31

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once…” – 1 Corinthians 15:1-6​

We must REPENT of our sin, rebellion and false religion, recognizing our sin guilt and our need for the Savior, BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ as our only hope of salvation, and RECEIVE Him as our Savior and Lord to be forgiven of our sins, to be “born again” and to thereby receive everlasting life.

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out” – Acts 3:19

“…And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.” – Acts 17:30-31

“…as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” – John 1:12

“And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” – Acts 16:31

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” – Romans 10:9

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new…For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17, 21

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” – 1 Peter 1:23
